The triple shooting occurred on Thursday, April 21, at 2:51 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay alongside Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
Camden County Police Department officers responded to 10th Street and Thurman Street for a ShotSpotter alert and multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a person shot.
Officers found one victim, Turhan Hudson, 29, of Camden, on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, they said. The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:19 p.m.
A second victim, a 25-year-old Camden man, also sustained a gunshot wound and walked into Virtua Hospital in Camden for treatment.
A third victim, a 27-year-old Camden man, sustained a graze wound and drove himself to Virtua Hospital in Camden for treatment.
Additionally, a Virtua ambulance that was present in the area of the shooting for an unrelated matter was struck once by gunfire. No injuries to the crew were reported.
The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
